Q: How do I book a headshot session?
A: Booking is easy! Just email me at laura@laurairion.com or schedule through this site. Once you’ve picked a date, send your deposit via Venmo or Zelle to secure your session. I’ll make sure everything’s set for your shoot!

Q: What is your availability?
A: I currently shoot headshots on weekends—Saturdays and Sundays. If you need a different day, feel free to reach out, and we’ll see if we can work some scheduling magic.

Q: Where is the photoshoot location?
A: I’m currently shooting at 43-01 22nd St Fl 5, Long Island City, NY 11101 - about a 10-minute subway ride from Times Square and easily accessible via Taxi/Uber/Lyft. It’s a 4-Minute Walk from Court Square via the E, M, 7, & G Trains and a 7-Minute Walk from Queensboro Plaza via the N, W, & 7 Trains.

Q: What should I wear for my headshots?
A: Keep it simple and timeless! Solid colors that complement your skin tone work best. Stay away from busy patterns or logos, and bring a few different tops for variety. Whether it’s casual or more polished, make sure you're comfortable in your outfit—that confidence will shine through in your photos!

Q: What exactly counts as "a look"?
A: In headshot photography, “a look” refers to a complete outfit or vibe we’re capturing during your session. This typically means a change in your top or jacket to reflect a different character, style, or industry. For example, switching from a casual shirt to a more professional blouse or blazer would count as two distinct looks.

Q: Does adding or removing layers (like jackets or flannels) count as a new look?
A: Great question! No, adding or removing simple layers—like a jacket, flannel, or cardigan—does not count as a separate look. It’s still part of the same outfit. These changes are considered minor adjustments within the same look to add variety to your shots without fully changing the vibe.

Q: Should I get my hair and makeup done?
A: While it’s not required, professional hair and makeup are highly recommended. I work with some amazing artists, like Carly Hughes, Alex Leskovich, and Jennifer Vega. If you book with one of them, plan to arrive 30 minutes early to your session. Their rates are $250 for makeup and $300 for both hair and makeup.
And if you prefer to DIY, just keep it natural—let your own radiance shine!

Q: How long is the headshot session?
A: Sessions generally last between 1 and 3 hours. But no rush here—I like to take the time to make sure we capture images that truly reflect you and align with your goals. Rushed shoots don’t feel right to me, so come ready and we’ll make the most of our time together!

Q: How many photos will I receive?
A: After the shoot, you’ll get a downloadable gallery with all the best shots, fully color-corrected. Depending on the session, this could be anywhere from 150 to 800+ images. You’ll choose your favorites for retouching, and any additional retouched images can be purchased for $40 each.

Q: What is the turnaround time for receiving my initial album and edits?
A: You’ll have your gallery ready within 10-14 business days after the shoot. Once you’ve made your final selections, the retouching will be completed in about 7 business days.

Q: What is your rescheduling/cancellation policy?
A: A non-refundable deposit of $50 is required to confirm your booking. If you need to reschedule, no problem! Just send me an email at laura@laurairion.com at least 7 days in advance, and I’ll happily apply your deposit to a future session date that works for you.

If you need to cancel entirely, please note that the deposit will be forfeited.

For makeup artist bookings: If you've reserved a makeup artist and need to cancel less than 7 days before your session, a 15% fee will apply to cover the artist’s time.
Rescheduling your makeup artist follows the same 7-day policy, with no extra charge if handled in advance.

I understand things come up, and I’ll do my best to work with you to find a new time when needed. Thanks for understanding!

Q: What is your retouching process?
A: My retouching style is all about enhancing your natural features, so you still look like you. I’ll take care of blemishes, flyaway hairs, and do some light color correction. Subtle adjustments, but nothing that’ll make you feel over-edited!

Q: How much are additional edits and what is the turnaround time?
A: If you want more edits than the amount included in your package, additional retouched images are $40/image. You’ll pay for them through Venmo or Zelle when you request and turnaround is about a week. If you need them sooner, I offer a 48-hour rush service for an additional $20/image.

Q: Can you provide specific looks for different industries?
A: Absolutely! Whether you’re looking for corporate headshots, actor headshots, or something a bit more creative, we’ll tailor the shoot to match your goals. Just let me know what you're aiming for, and we’ll create the perfect look!

Q: Do you offer group or corporate headshot packages?
A: Yes, I do! If your company or group needs headshots, I offer special rates. Let me know the details, and I’ll provide more info based on your team size and needs.

Q: How can I pay for my session?
A: A non-refundable deposit of $150 is required to lock in your booking, and the rest is due on the day of your shoot. If you need a flexible payment plan, don’t be shy—just let me know! I totally understand the challenges of the actor’s life.
